We will be creating adorable and practical folded pocketbooks for this Friday's folding class, also known as the Blizzard book. Hedi Kyle designed this unique book structure from one long sheet of paper while stuck in a blizzard which is how the book got its name. These fun pocketbooks can hold cards and little bits of mixed media art. They are completely customizable depending on the paper strip you use. To make the book in class, you will need a long strip of paper 7 5/8" x 33". If you don't have a long strip, cut office paper into three strips, 7 5/8" x 11", join the ends together with washi tape or masking tape to make the long strip. Join us Friday, 4/2/2021 at 2 pm MST!Be sure to register for this fun folding event by clicking here.

Have a pair of scissors and some glue ready as well. See you Friday! I fondly remember playing in the green clover lawns sprinkled with white flowers in our yard as a Southern California child. Bees would pick up the pollen from the white flowers, which was our only sign of spring since the weather was pretty much the same all year round. I would always scan the lush, green ground cover for the elusive four-leaf clover, and one day, I found one! Some traditions say that the three leaves of the clover represent faith, hope, and love. The fourth, of course, is for luck. We will be painting and doodling watercolor four-leaf clovers for next Monday's mixed-media event! You will need a sheet of watercolor paper, a pencil, green watercolor, a brush, a black fine-tipped pen, some white ink, or a white pen. These cute little boxes have flaps to decorate and are great for holding candies and small things. All you will need is a sheet of origami or decorative paper at least six inches square. The bigger the sheet, the bigger the box! See you on Fold-it-Friday!Our live class begins at 2 pm MST Friday, March 12th, so be sure to register if you haven't already. See you soon! The ocean is a whole body of salt water covering nearly three-fourths of the earth's surface. It covers most of our planet, regulates our weather and climate, absorbs vast amounts of carbon dioxide, provides most of our oxygen, and feeds much of the human population. For many of us, the ocean is a place to dream, play, and find peace. For the next few Mixed-Media Monday events, we will be traveling to the ocean and creating beach-inspired doodles with watercolors, pens, inks, and papers! Supplies to have ready for class
