Let's make adorable air dry clay mini bowls to use as a brush rest or ring holder. The bowls can be beautiful gifts for friends or family too! This live class will be in two parts. The first class will be creating, shaping, and smoothing the bowl shapes using cookie cutters or a craft knife. Since air-dry clay takes about a day or so to dry, we will be painting and glazing the bowls the week after.
Make Your Own Air Dry Clay!
You can make your own air-dry clay using common ingredients right from your kitchen! Watch the video for three different recipes. Make up a batch to have ready for Monday's class!
Let's create unique patterns with eraser carvings and rubber stamps. For this Monday's mixed-media event, we will carve a simple design that can be an intricate pattern when repeated.
We will try some fun inking techniques that we can apply to paper, fabrics, and more!
blank eraser carving material
carving tools or Xacto knife
stamp pads in assorted colors
block printing ink, acrylic paints, retarder medium (optional)
greeting card stock, paper or fabric
For this Fold-it Friday event, we will be folding beautiful five-point stars to make into a garland or decoration for any holiday or occasion. To make the star, you will need a sheet of paper cut into a pentagon. The paper size can range from 12" to 7" depending on the size star you wish to fold.
You have three sizes to choose from depending on the size of your paper. You can always adjust the size up or down by changing the settings on your printer.
Before the start of class, download, print, and trace the pentagon shape onto the back of your paper.
Download the templates here!
If you are feeling brave, and would like to create a pentagon from a square, watch this helpful video. In class, we will start with the pentagon, so have some ready to fold!

Let's crochet a super easy mask band to make wearing masks more comfortable and colorful. To crochet along in class, you will need some scraps of crochet cotton or yarn, a crochet needle, a couple of buttons, and a needle and thread. They are a quick, last-minute gift that you can make for yourself as well as family and friends! Be sure to register for Thursday's live class by clicking here.
Let's relax, and share our love of crafting over a cup of delicious tea! Crafternoon Tea is a relaxed social event where we chat about past or future crafting events, our favorite crafts, and get to know each other better. We might even enjoy a heartwarming laugh or two!

The holiday season is a busy time of year for many of us, and it essential to take time for ourselves to rejuvenate our spirits. For Monday's class, we will spend some time taking care of ourselves with a soothing, mindful meditative drawing exercise that is easy to do at any time when you want to relax and jump-start your creativity.
All you need is a piece of paper, a journal, some colored pencils, markers or pens and a little watercolor if you wish. Be prepared to relax in a creative retreat!

For this Fridays folding event, we will be making cute pine trees to spread cheer, and warm our hearts during this winter holiday season. The pine trees are made with a single sheet of origami paper and we will show you how to make one with a surprise star topper! Grab a sheet of origami paper, scissors, and let's have some folding fun!
Creating carved stamps to make intricate repeated patterns is very rewarding, relaxing, and fun. You can use your eraser carvings to decorate paper, wood, and fabric for unique surface patterns. We will be carving erasers for next Monday's Mixed Media class!
You will need very few basic supplies to get started carving your own designs.
Join in the fun!
Be sure to register for the class by clicking here or head on over to the Upcoming Events tab on this page. See you Monday, December 7th at 11 am MST!
