You can write or print your message on the paper before folding, and the heart locks itself closed until the receiver opens it. SuppliesPlain or decorative paper cut to 8" x 11" (that's it!) Live Class Monday, 2/22 at 11 am MSTBefore class, thicken some water with starch. We will be using methylcellulose to thicken the water, and will pour it into a glass baking dish so the paints will float on top. Watch the inspiring video below to learn a little about the process! We continue to celebrate love for our February live Fold-it Friday events with an adorable heart-shaped message holder that serves as a chopstick or brush rest. To make these fun-loving paper messages, you will need a sheet of paper cut 3" x 6". Double-sided paper is preferable, but not necessary. You can always color your paper on one side with markers, inks, stamps, sprays, or paints. You will also need plain white paper, and a pen or rubber stamps to write your messages. If you aren't able to attend, you can always watch our past events at any time on the Arts and Crafts Club On-Demand page. Join us for folding fun, and friendship! The Japanese art of dying fabric is known as Shibori. The process we will explore in class is a similar fold and die technique that can be used to make beautiful decorative papers.
