For the week four Creative Companion journaling event, we will be diving deep into the watercolor realm. We will explore backgrounds, textures, and atmospheres to fill more pages of your journal. Get your journals and supplies ready, and let's have some creative fun!
If you have watercolor ground or gesso, prep a couple of pages with it 24 hours before Monday's live class. Acrylic grounds need some time to cure before painting. If you don't have watercolor ground, and your journal pages are too thin to accept watercolor, have a couple of small sheets of watercolor paper handy to try the techniques.
Watercolor Backgrounds for Art Journals
Watercolors are fantastic for creating backgrounds in journal pages. They can be soft and blended, or they can be scribbly with lots of texture. Watch the short video below to get a sneak peek of some of the things we will be doing on Monday!
