![]() Cindy has been involved with various forms of dance throughout her life. As a youth, she participated in a number of dance classes, as well as ice skated competitively. In high school, she joined the Hip Hop Dance and Step Team and had the opportunity to perform and compete around the Pacific Northwest. After high school, she continued with hip hop and also started teaching around the greater Tacoma area for the next five years. She enjoyed working with students from 6 years old to teenagers. In her mid-twenties, she relocated to the Los Angeles area and eventually discovered country dancing. She worked hard to learn as many line dances as she could find, and enjoyed learning country two-step as well. After spending time teaching friends line dances out of her living room, she started renting space to teach weekly adult classes. Between weekly classes, Parks Department classes and private and corporate events, she found growing success in dance instruction and made life long friends. During this time, she also enjoyed salsa dancing and Latin ballroom. In 2015, she stumbled upon West Coast Swing and began taking private lessons and going social dancing for the next year. In 2016, she relocated back to the Pacific Northwest and began to compete in West Coast Swing up and down the West Coast from California to Canada. In 2017, while backpacking around Europe for three months, she took lessons, social danced and competed in various countries. Most recently, she has taught line dancing, country two-step and country swing to adults and seniors around the Pacific Northwest. She believes in the power of dance to positively affect both the mind and the body and she greatly enjoys helping people in their journey with dance. Aside from dance, she enjoys hiking, board games, traveling, personal growth and cuddling with her cat, Meowser. Comments are closed.
