Join me on Sunday 11/14 at 2pm to draw this adorable Frenchie (reference picture was provided by one of our members). I provided 3 versions of the reference photo - color (so you can see all the details), black and white (so you can see the range of values) and one with a grid on in case you like to use grids for proportions (see set up instructions below).
All you will need is paper, graphite pencils and an eraser unless you choose to work in another medium such as charcoal or colored pencil. To set up the grid: decide how many inches x inches each box will represent. For example, if you choose 2" x 2" then your grid will be 8" x 9" (It's 9" instead of 10" because of the half row of boxes at the top, but you could choose to expand that row because it's just negative space and make it a clean 8" x 10") Your boxes could also be something like 1"x 1" or 1.5" x 1.5" - the choice is yours. Just make sure to use a ruler so all of your lines are straight and draw nice and light!
