Reserve Your Seat at our upcoming Sewing Skill Share - Tuesday, June 30

6/29/2020

Picture
Join Andrea and your fellow sewing club friends, Tuesday, June 30 at 9 a.m. MT to learn how to install a recessed zipper top closure in a basic two handle tote bag.

Andrea stitched up the tote shown using four 18" squares of fabric with 2.5" corners notched at the base of each panel. The straps are crafted from 6" x 30" strips of material + a 3" channel of batting as demonstrated last week in our Removable Messenger Strap - Sewing Skill Share.

She will be using an 18" purse zipper and two panels of twill fabric which measure 8" x 20" to craft a fabric frame that will house the zipper.

We hope to see you then; but, if you miss out you can always watch the replay of this or any other live sewing club event here on our "on demand" page.

Join our Sew & Tell today at 3 p.m. MT

6/19/2020

Happy Friday sewing friends! Everyone is invited to join our Sew & Tell at 3 p.m. MT today and show off a recent sewing project, share a sewing tip or just come to see what your fellow club members are up to! Due to technical challenges on my end our weekly Sew Together was a missed event; however, you can watch the replay of that project here. As requested we redesigned the weekly project by increasing the size of the panels and adding depth so that the bag can stand alone. Let us know how you like the new variation in the comments and be sure to checkout the improved sewing club schedule which includes an early morning Sip and Sew on Monday (bring your coffee and inspiration), Skill Based Sew Together on Tuesday (we'll be making various kinds of bag straps) and our Sew And Tell on Friday (the perfect way to wrap up the week).
