Thank you to everyone who participated in our first conversation surrounding The Lisa Dress; especially those of you who offered your expertise to the new garment makers in the group.
To recap, this week we will be:
"Sew" excited to get started and can hardly wait to see your pretty dresses come together!
We are aiming to finish The Lisa Dress by August 18! Join us then at 9 a.m. MT to see how they turned out. Consider using your fabric remnants to craft a coordinating face mask and necklace to match!
Sewing success is so sweet!
Thanks to the help of Dara, Kim, KC, Elaine and Cheryl --- Suzette and I were able to successfully sew our very first dresses. Such a wonderfully supportive community of makers we are building here at the Element3 Health Sewing Club-thank you ladies, I love my new dress!
Thank you to everyone who cast a vote in our most recent community poll to determine the project for our first community sew together here at the Element3 Health Sewing Club!
The Lisa Dress was the most popular pick with 5 votes to date. I will be purchasing my copy of the PDF pattern and ordering my material this afternoon.
We will begin sewing on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 9 a.m. MT and have approximately an hour to work on the project every Tuesday until it is complete. Homework might be an option if we are confident in the next steps and/or eager to finish sooner.
I am really excited for this project, even though I am a novice garment maker, and looking forward to learning from those of you who have decades of experience in this area.
Thank you in advance for sharing your skills and knowledge with the club!
I am in the process of locating a handful of sewing patterns that look like they would be fun for us to sew together as a group. At your leisure, please review the options I have selected for a summer dress pattern and/or make a suggestion of your own below.
