As we enter our fourth month, here at the Sewing Club, we will have the opportunity to welcome new friends and settle into what I call "sewing season". The time of year when the temps draw down, the colors are intensified and we begin to prepare our homes for the winter and holidays. It's a cozy and comfortable time of year that I am excited for us to share here at the E3H Sewing Club! Currently we are immersed in our Similar (not the same) Outerwear Sewing Series which meets on Tuesday's at 9 a.m. MT and will likely wrap up on or near September 15, 2020. Several group members are now working on their second outwear project and two are drafting jacket patterns (Wow!). This truly is a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning more about garment construction or would like to share their experience with those of us who are novices. Towards the end of September we will be moving on to a series we are calling "Any Pants" whereby members select any pant pattern and sew at their leisure. We will be checking in on Tuesday's at 9 a.m. MT to report our progress and seek help as needed. Newcomers are welcome to join us at anytime! In between sewing sessions, we offer plenty of opportunities to share and connect on all things sewing related beginning with our Monday morning Sip and Sew One at 7:30 a.m. MT and Sip and Sew Two at 10:30 MT. Several members participate in both! We will continue to wrap up the week on Friday at 3:00 p.m. MT with our weekly Sew and Tell. This is a fun time to showoff a recent sewing project, pattern or broach a sewing related topic with creative friends. Your choice! I thank you for reading along and invite you to use the comments below to post links to your favorite holiday projects so that I can set up a community poll and we can vote as to which projects we would like to work on together this sewing season. Until we meet again, be well and sew happy my sweet friends! ~Andrea Comments are closed.
