Happy Saturday and welcome back to the Sewing Club here at Element3 Health! On Monday I will be demonstrating in a video tutorial how to sew the large version of the Quarter Keeper shown. This piece measures approximately 9" x 5" finished. As a bonus, I have included the pattern measurements for the smaller size so you have the option of making a matching set.
For this project you will need approximately a quarter yard of material (hence the name) + 1 zipper (7" for the large, 6" for the small) and some lightweight interfacing.
For the large, cut the follow pattern pieces:
(2) 9" x 14" pieces of cotton for the exterior and interior
(1) 9" x 14" piece of interfacing (Pellon 808 or 809)
(2) 3" x 8.5" pieces of cotton for the exterior trim
For the small, cut the follow pattern pieces:
(2) 7.5" x 10" pieces of cotton for the exterior and interior
(1) 7.5" x 10" piece of interfacing (Pellon 808 or 809)
(2) 3" x 7" pieces of cotton for the exterior trim
Let me know in the comments how you like the project and what you might use it for. A few ideas: tissues, loose change, pencils, cosmetics, snacks...
Until we meet again, be well and sew happy!
