Thank you to everyone who joined us for our weekly Skill Share! This week, Andrea demonstrated how to create an adjustable, padded, removable messenger strap along with a removable wristlet strap. Next week, she will be showing us how to install a reassessed zipper top closure on a basic tote bag. You can register for that session and any other live Element3 Health Club event by clicking here. As a reminder, all live events are recorded so you can view those at your leisure. If you would like to share a sewing related skill with the group, please reach out to Andrea via email to schedule: [email protected]
Join us Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. MT to share a cup of coffee or tea and discuss your sewing plans for the week ahead. This is also an opportune time to relay the sewing projects you would like for us to focus on as a club. Please feel free to reach out anytime via email to make suggestions as well!
It's always fun to see what other people are sewing! Join us Friday, at 3 p.m. MT to show off your most recent sewing projects and / or to ask questions and be inspired. All are welcome. Register here to receive the Zoom link.
So sorry for the mix up on Zoom today! I was in one room and you all were in another due to a snafu on my end. We have adjusted the settings so that can't happen again. Luckily, I have the recording of the project so you can see how the remake comes together; but, I am still sad we couldn't sew together. Please do join me tomorrow for Sew and Tell at 3 p.m. MT. For this larger bag you will need to precut the following pieces: Cut 4 - 13" x 10" pieces of cotton fabric for the Interior / Exterior and two like size pieces of quilt batting for the exterior. Cut 1 - 4" x 13" piece of cotton for the strap that holds the flap Cut 2 - 10" x 10" pieces of cotton fabric for the flap Cut 2 - 13" x 8" pieces of cotton fabric for the exterior pocket The finished bag measures approximately 8" across the base, 4" wide by 6" tall and would be ideal for cosmetics, travel or even as a clutch. Let me know in the comments how you like it! Until next time, sew happy and be well friends! Andrea Thank you to Ramona Baird for sharing her expertise in the field of machine embroidery with us!
